He Is Able

“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”     –Hebrews 7:25

The Kingdom Within

During the Lord’s time here on earth he was repeatedly questioned by the Pharisees and Sadducees in an effort to catch him in his words and prove that he was not the Messiah for whom they were looking.  One of the marks of the Messiah was that he was going to come and establish an everlasting kingdom.  The Jewish people were oppressed by the Romans and he was repeatedly questioned as to whether or not he would “restore the kingdom” at that time. The Power and Peace

The bible declares that the Holy Ghost is our Comforter in the physical absence of Jesus Christ.  The scripture also tells us that Jesus Christ’s Spirit will give us power after we are filled with him.  This past weekend I was privileged to witness these scriptures come to life in an extraordinary way, and feel compelled to share it with you as this week’s devotional.  I pray it blesses you. In Repenting

In repenting there is no self-justification  … only acknowledging, asking, and turning.     (Ps 51, Lk 18:9-14)

The Answer?

I have heard people testify and say, “I don’t know what the Lord saw in me that made him want to call me, to save me.”  I have asked the same question myself.  Maybe we ask hoping there is some quality, no matter how small, that we have overlooked; and that we do in fact hold some value within ourselves that causes God to regard us.  The answer?   View full article »
